Our Story

A BERTHA TRADITION

Buford's Bar and Grill wasn't born in a corporate boardroom. It was born out of a need for a place where the hardworking folks of Bertha could grab a cold beer, a massive burger, and not have to worry about dressing up.

We're a roadhouse, a dive bar, and a neighborhood grill all rolled into one. For years, we've been the spot where farmers, mechanics, and travelers on Highway 10 stop to swap stories over a plate of cheese curds.

We don't have a dress code. We don't have a hostess stand. You grab a seat, we pour you a drink, and you stay as long as you want.

WHAT WE STAND FOR

No shortcuts. No attitudes. Just honest food.

REAL FOOD

We don't believe in freezers full of corporate patties. Our burgers are hand-pressed daily. Our fish is battered right here in the kitchen. Our signature sauces are mixed in-house.

LOCAL FIRST

We source as much as we can from local farmers and butchers. If it's on our menu, it's because we'd feed it to our own families. We support local 4-H and youth sports.

COLD BEER

Whether you want a domestic draft, a craft IPA, or a stiff whiskey pour, our bar is always stocked. We keep the taps cold and the conversation flowing.

THE BUFORD BURGER

The crown jewel of our menu. When you order the Buford Burger, you're getting a hand-pressed patty topped with a pile of shaved brisket that we smoke ourselves, smothered in BBQ sauce and crispy fried onions.

It's messy, it's big, and it's exactly what you want after a long day of work. Pair it with a basket of our famous crispy tots or onion rings, and you've got a meal that sticks to your ribs.
